When taking pictures of kids I try to follow the advice of the great Donald O’Connor in Singin’ in the Rain…Make ‘em Laugh! (Sorry, I’m a bit of a musical nerd)

Inevitably though, they do something that makes ME laugh, which just makes my job more fun!  Here are some of my favorite outtakes from recent photo shoots.  Kids, thanks for making me smile as much behind the camera as you do in front of it!

What a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding! Becca & Veljko got married on the beautiful grounds of Holly Hedge Estate in New Hope, PA on June 7th. Can you blame Veljko for wanting to marry her? She looked gorgeous!

It was such a lovely, intimate event that I feel like I got to know everyone there…and we were even able to gather everyone together for a big group shot!  And I have to say, what a FUN group. I think this is the first wedding I’ve been to where there were more men dancing then women. Evidently, all you have to do is put on some Serbian dance music, and the men flood the dancefloor!
Here are some of my favorite photos from the day. The one of me was taken by the groom with his Nikon – I knew he’d whip that out at some point!
Becca & Veljko, thanks for letting me share your this day with you and making me feel like part of the family. Have an amazing time in Greece!

Haven’t we all seen enough Jon & Kate plus 8?  Joe and Annie have half as many kids and not nearly as much drama…which makes for a great photo shoot! The triplets (Rory, Sebastian, and Ava) are 5 1/2, and the newest addition, Camille, is one. They are SO incredibly cute and well-behaved and made my job really, really easy and super fun.

We spent a couple of hours at Appleford Estate in Villanova (this may be my new favorite place to take pictures, the grounds are beautiful) and got some really wonderful photos – don’t you just love the bright colors on the kids??   It was really difficult to pick out my favorites, there were so many great shots!

Heather and Lawrence got married last year on a cold, rainy day in February. Not ideal for bridal portraits! So over a year and a baby later (you’d never know it from the look of her, right?), Heather put her wedding dress back on, got herself all dolled up, and we did some fun shots on around Manhattan and Queens on a perfect spring day while Lawrence and little Graham had some quality father/son time!

Little known tidbit – Heather is the only person (immediate family members excluded) that I’ve known since birth. Literally. We were born a few days apart in the same hospital. I am pretty certain even back then she was making me laugh from just a few cribs away in the nursery.
Now it was my turn to make HER laugh.  At my friend Jeff’s suggestion, I threw a banana at her.  Visit his blog for the photographic evidence - http://bananasurprise.blogspot.com/
